The international practicum in education is a three week in-school experience overseas offered by EducatorsAbroad Ltd. through which you can:
- Fulfill introduction to education school experience requirements for entry to, or
as part of initial course work in, your college's teacher education program
- Gain an international comparative understanding of curriculum and teaching practice
- Consider the role of teacher and determine whether teaching is the career you wish
to pursue
- Complete practica associated with instructional methods courses overseas
Placement Options
The following placement options for the International Practicum in Education are
available in the 2008 - 2009 academic year:

Determination of specific dates when placements are available in each country is
based on participant interest and the school calendar.
Cooperating schools assign the practicum student to a teacher and classroom where
the student can achieve goals associated with this program option.
In seeking GST placements, each student's application materials are sent to a prospective
host school. Each host school then decides whether to accept an applicant. After
being accepted by a host school, practicum students communicate directly with their
host school to arrange accommodation, to plan their work, and to arrange for their
arrival in the host community.
